1,616 *4 th year patients seen in the fourth year of the class of 2020 were reduced when the college was closed from March through May 2020 because of COVID. Alternative distance learning experiences using case presentations and discussion of evidence ‐ based case management strategies equivalent to approximately 231 patient encounters for each student were developed and approved by NYSED and ACOE. Intent to Enter a Residency Program In the spring semester, the Office of Residency Programs administers a survey to graduating fourth ‐ year students to assess intent to enter a residency program. In recent years, about 40% of graduates have indicated they intend to complete a residency ( Residency Program – Percentage Entering ). Graduation Rates As indicated in the table below, a high percentage of entering students complete the OD program in a timely manner:
