The effectiveness of the Emergency Preparedness Program is continuously evaluated by the Emergency Response Team and the Emergency Response Resource Group. Reports will be shared with the Environmental Safety and Infection Control Committee. Staff performance and participation during actual and simulated drills will be monitored and evaluated, as measured by quality indicators and observation by members of the Emergency Response Team. Performance data will be evaluated with specific tracking of trends/issues/problems with exercises. The Emergency Preparedness Plan will be evaluated annually and updated, as necessary. Reports will be shared with the Environmental Safety and Infection Control Committee upon request.
