Scorpion Cup: A Classic Tiki Refreshment

INGREDIENTS
2 ounces orange juice 1½ ounces aged rum ½ ounce brandy ¼ ounce grenadine ¼ ounce lime juice ¼ ounce orgeat syrup Cocktail cherries
DIRECTIONS

Add orange juice, rum, brandy, grenadine, lime juice, and orgeat syrup to cocktail shaker, then fill with ice. Shake mixture until just combined and chilled, about 5 seconds. Strain cocktail into chilled old-fashioned glass or tiki cup half filled with crushed ice. Top with additional ice and garnish with cherries. Serve.
NOTES You can substitute ¼ ounce Lavender Liqueur for the crème de violette if desired, but increase the Simple Syrup to ½ ounce. A lemon twist makes a nice additional garnish, if desired.
