The Department’s Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) policy dictates that the specific documents in question “must be inventoried and securely stored. Information must be retrievable for audit and review purposes.” This policy is reinforced during the Department’s annual onsite visits to each agency – reviewing these documents is part of this visit. Any findings or issued noted in this area would appear in the comments or technical assistance logs shared with the agency.
