REQUIRED TRAINING FOR ALL COLLEGE EMPLOYEES SUNY State College of Optometry procedure requires that every new employee must attend a New Employee Orientation (NEO) soon after they start at the College. In addition, Employees are required to complete an Annual Compliance Online Training every calendar year thereafter. REQUIRED TRAINING FOR UEC EMPLOYEES Online Course The New York State Department of Health and CMS require annual training in specific content areas: HIPAA Business Integrity-Fraud, Waste and Abuse Detection and Prevention Whistleblower Protection This annual training is required in addition to the College’s Ann ual Compliance online training course. The UEC annual online training consists of a PowerPoint slide presentation and a graded quiz which must be completed each year unless you have attended a live presentation. Orientation Check-list Each new employee is provided with an orientation which covers content areas specific to their role within the UEC. Upon completion of their orientation each new employee submits their check-list after reviewing it with their respective manager. The orientation checklist should be submitted to Clinical Administration within one month of your start date.
