To get started with our tele-counseling services, you must be referred by the Counseling and Wellness Service. Crisis Text Line Staffed 24/7/365 by trained volunteers skilled in active listening, Crisis Text Line helps individuals in distress move from a hot moment to a cool calm. There is a New York specific keyword for Crisis Text Line: SUNY participants can text “Got5U” to 988. Headspace Headspace is a meditation and mindfulness app that has programs for focus, sleep, and other resources to encourage mental wellness. Several external and internal studies have shown that the use of Headspace can decrease stress, increase compassion, and improve mental, emotional, and social health. We are pleased to offer 100 free licenses for this app on a first come, first served basis. Interested students can contact the Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging to access this app. Suicide Prevention Students having suicidal thoughts are encouraged to seek immediate help by calling a suicide crisis helpline.
