Harold Kohn Vision Science Library The Harold Kohn Vision Science Library is one of the largest vision science libraries in the country. It seeks to meet the information needs of the College community through the selection, acquisition, organization and delivery of materials and services, as well as provision of the technology, instruction and support necessary to ensure access to information. The Kohn Library maintains a print monograph and journal collection and maintains a comprehensive website with links to electronic books, journals, and databases, as well as a wide range of online reference, vision science and general health resources.

Hours of Operation

Regular Hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM – 8:30 PM Sunday (Academic Year only): 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM

The library is closed on regular College holidays. Since weekend hours are staffed solely by work study students, we recommend that you call prior to arriving at the library to ensure that regular hours are in operation.

Summer hours: Monday – Friday: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Sunday: 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Extended Hours: The Library offers extended hours two weeks before midterm and final exams, during which time it is open until 11 pm during the week, 8:30 pm on Saturday, and 10 pm on Sunday.

Food, drink, smoking and cell phone use are prohibited in the library.

Circulation Books: The student loan period is four weeks; faculty, residents and staff may borrow circulating books for one quarter. All books may be renewed unless they have been requested by another user.
