Lost & Found University Police Desk at 42 nd street entrance maintains a central repository of lost and found items for the College. Kindly report anything that you find or lose in the building to University Police at ext. 5566. Items in UPD lost and found custody that are unclaimed after 90 days will be disbursed according to departmental policy. Property Control Procedure All employees taking state property out of the College must have a Property Removal Authorization Form filled out by their department head and the Property Control Manager in room 937. Employees bringing in personal property into the building must register their property at the University Police desk by filling out a Personal Property Control Form upon entry with the property. Operation ID – Engraving University Police Department have engravers available at the 43 rd street desk for employees that need to put an identifying mark on their personal property. Employee may pick up an Operation ID flyer at this time to document their property’s unique identifying numbers and description. Panic Alarms As part of our crime prevention program and critical incident management, UPD installed panic/duress alarm buttons in all our clinic reception and cashier areas. Employees may use the buttons to silently notify UPD of ongoing incidents that requires UPD response and intervention. Please contact your Clinic Managers or University Police for further information about the location of these devices and for information on how/when to activate the devices. If there is a threatening or disruptive person on the floor in close proximity to a staff member calling UPD discreetly, the code word “DR STRONG” can be used in the conversation. Additionally, employees may submit an iReport using SafeInSight (College Safety & Resource App). Medical Alert/emergency push buttons are installed in the restrooms on the clinic floors in the event that a patient or an employee needs assistance in the restroom. SUNY Lifesaver Program University Police will provide CPR training to employees willing to volunteer to be trained in the life saving skills of CPR and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). Trainees will receive a CPR certification that will be valid for a period of 2 years. Trained employees will become membe rs of the College’s Lifesaver Volunteer Team that can respond to a “Code Blue’ announcement to provide assistance to victims of sudden cardiac arrest within the building. AEDs are located in the reception area on each clinic floor. Employees interested in receiving CPR training should respond to the call for volunteers announcement when posted by UPD.
