Notes:
1. SUNY Annual Compliance Training consists of the following five topics:
• Right-to-Know/Hazard Communication- Chemical and Health Hazards, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) & Bloodborne Pathogens- Infection Control • Security Policies & Crime Prevention- Incident Reporting, Annual Security Report • Emergency Preparedness- Fire & Safety, Medical Emergencies, Evacuation Procedures, Emergency Communication, Building Closure and Suspension of Operation Procedures. • College Policies- Workplace Violence Prevention, Domestic Violence in the Workplace, Drug and Alcohol Policy and Sexual Harassment Prevention • Internal Controls 2. With regard to continuing education credit (CE) via correspondence and/or a virtual format, the UEC will use the same criteria that the NY State Board uses: only 25% of the hours can be virtual or correspondence-based CE. 3. Newly hired providers who completed an ACOE-approved residency program will be able to utilize their residency program for CE requirements for initial credentialing and then for one renewal cycle (i.e., they fulfill their CE Requirements for Credentialing and Privileging ). 4. With regard to CPR/AED certification for Optometrists, Physicians and Nurses, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from an American Heart Association (AHA) or an American Red Cross Healthcare Provider BLS course. The course must have an in- person skills component.
