Policy: To ensure that providers obtain continuing education (CE) on an on-going basis to maintain skills and knowledge to support the care, treatment and services to the patients of the University Eye Center (UEC). For ODs without Oral Pharmaceutical Therapeutics: 40 hours total-With a minimum UEC Annual Mandatory Training •

For ODs with Oral Pharmaceutical Therapeutics: 40 hours total – With a minimum of 36 hours in disease-related topics. Of these 36 hours, a minimum of 12 hours must be in systemic disease and/or oral therapeutic treatment. See Privileges Request Form for specific CE requirements to perform specialized procedure/services
