2023 Annual report
On behalf of the SUNY College of Optometry Foundation and its Board of Trustees, we would like to offer our heartfelt gratitude and appreciation to the many individuals, foundations, and corporations who support our efforts throughout the year. Many have been long-time supporters who we count on year after year. In 2023, we saw an increase in the number of donations from faculty and staff, alumni, and parents. Most notably, grateful patients in the University Eye Center recognized the great work of the students, residents, and eye doctors with notes of appreciation and donations which more than doubled the number of gifts received from this group in the previous year. It is this collective support that enables us to support nearly 2,000 patient visits for families with limited resources, approximately 25% of our students with scholarships, new technology in our clinic, labs, and classrooms, and so much more. Thank you for entrusting us to be good stewards of your donations and for seeing the value of vision through your support.
