Celebrating Retirement SUNY College of Optometry pays tribute to the service of: Michael Gomez, Optician, in memoriam ; Ira Krumholtz, OD, Assistant Clinical Professor; Edward McKenzie, Teaching Hospital Staff Assistant; Scott Morrison, OD, Assistant Clinical Professor; and Arlene Schwartz, OD, Assistant Clinical Professor.

Rochelle Mozlin, OD, MPH Winner of Resident Alumni of the Year & Presidential Medallion

Children’s Vision and Learning course. A graduate of New England College of Optometry, Mozlin completed a residency in vision therapy at SUNY Optometry in 1981 where she remained until retirement.

Associate Clinical Professor Rochelle Mozlin, OD, MPH, retired after 40 years of service to SUNY College of Optometry. This year, Mozlin was recognized with the Resident Alumni of the Year award and the Presidential Medallion for her career-long contributions and dedication to the advancement of the College and the communities it serves. At the College and UEC, Mozlin’s responsibilities included patient care, clinical and didactic education and supervision for the Residency Program in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation. She served as acting chief of Pediatrics within the Primary Care Service at the University Eye Center from 2018-2019. In the classroom, she led a small group seminar for first year students and portions of the Children’s Vision and Learning course.

Ann Warwick

Ann Warwick retired after 35 years of service and success at the College. She served as VP of Institutional Advancement and Executive Director of the Optometric Center of New York (OCNY) from 1985-2018 and later as Director of Internal Events. Her strategic communications expertise, fundraising initiatives, and ability to establish critical community connections helped to elevate the College as a globally recognized center of excellence for optometric education, research, and vision care. Among her most notable accomplishments is the annual Eyes on New York gala hosted by the Optometric Center of New York which highlights the importance of vision care within population health and raises funds to support student scholarships and patient care.
